The Alliance of Ontario Food Processors (Alliance) is a single voice under which all food and beverage processing companies in Ontario, regardless of their size, can join together to provide strength to take on the challenges and opportunities of the industry. Our member companies create a united advocate for the industry. Current membership in the Alliance includes related industry associations and processing company members, plus supporting suppliers/service providers operating in Ontario. The success of the Alliance efforts will be based upon building a strong organization, truly representative of the Ontario food and beverage processing industry.

The recently released Strategy for Ontario's Food and Beverage Processing Industry outlines a plan for the next 5 years. By focusing on our key priorities, Ontario's food and beverage processing sector will be:

• A $40 billion industry by 2013
• Recognized as a vital component of Ontario's economy by government, industry and the public
• A competitive sector based on innovation and productivity that supports Ontario's farmers and the provincial economy
• A major player in Ontario's health agenda
• A leading provider of long term, skilled and sustainable jobs
• Positioned to develop new export and domestic markets
• Focussed on working with the supply chain to take advantage of opportunities that benefit all
• Able to double the current investment in Research and Development and new technology
• Recognized Internationally as a supplier of quality
